![]() I was kind of worried it was going to be some anti-climactic ending where the Bonnie and Clyde car approaches and the movie goes black.but nope, you got the full deaths and they didn't pull any punches on the violence.īTW.anyone else enjoy the gun store scene? Jeez.imagine walking into a store and just buying a pile of full auto stuff (BAR and Thompson) and leaving with it all 5 minutes later. The rifle, virtually identical to two of the firearms used to cut down notorious 1930s outlaws Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker, was acquired by the Sheriff’s Office in April 1934, almost exactly a month before Bonnie and Clyde died in a hail of gunfire on May 23, 1934, on a back road in Bienville Parish, Louisiana. It's more about the lawmen themselves and how the both of them were a dying breed rather than just Bonnie and Clyde. If you're expecting non-stop excitement, this isn't the movie for you. Definitely different than most cops & robbers movies like Untouchables or Public Enemies where the good and bad guys are given equal screen time.īoth Woody and Costner were excellent. You don't even see Bonnie's face until the very end right before killing her (sorry spoiler alert!). Kind of a slow burn but the movie is all about law enforcement tracking Bonnie and Clyde, not so much on Bonnie and Clyde themselves. ![]()
